Packer Training Camp - Baden's Baptism - Door County

After the Tall ships we headed to the Green Bay Packer Training Camp.  For the first three days of camp they invite the community to Landbeau Field for an assortment of fun activities.  It was fun to be there!
Grandpa Smith watching one of the many GB awesome football games.
We had free bratworst tacoes in the yellow truck in the background - Emilee and boys had a tricycle race - fun! Jane is in the background left.
Tal pretending to be a football player! There were booths for passing, blocking, etc.
Baden's turn!  There were all kinds of booths with activities.  Dana kicked three field goals at different distances - go Dana!
The actual team on the practice field - many had their wives and children with them.  When they finish practice there is a road full of kids and their bicycles - apparently a player can choose a child and their bike and ride the bike back to the locker room.
Something like a $50,000 helmet - made of jewels!
July 27th, 2019 -  Best event of the whole trip - actually the purpose for the trip!  Baden's baptism.  Pretty cool that he was baptized in the church building we attended for three plus years.
Lucky Baden to have such great parents...lucky Ben and Emilee to have two such wonderful boys!

Family gospel ordinances are the very best in the whole world!  Nice to have all four grandparens there to love and support.
 Handsome men, beautiful momma!
Front of the Green Bay Stake Center now ... branch when we were here.  When we came it was a small two phase building ... in our time there we helped with the third phase...now  Stake Center!
Back of the church - a member of our branch in the 80's had a dairy farm and would bring milk for other members - dispersing it out of their car in this parking lot.  Another story: when we moved from Webster Street to New Franken, we were delighted when Sister Henning and Sister Biolo brought dinner in several boxes to our car after church.  Driving home Kurt asked: How did they know we needed dinner?  We took the opportunity to teach our children - they didn't know - but Heavenly Father did and influenced them to be chariable.

Monday July 29th we drove to Door County - vacation spot for most of northern Illinois!  Fun rocks and waves - the Great Lakes are huge!

Grand parents and GRANDsons playing in their own way!

So loved being in WI for Baden's baptism, seeing the new house, walking the trail, playing games, loveing these awesome boys!  Hope we can visit again soon!!
