4th of July Parade

Chuck Norris the rough-tough movie actor was the Grand Marshall of the Provo Freedom Festival Parade.  I didn't get a very good picture, but Dan did.  When Dan posted his online Stan replied:  You are lucky that parade wave didn't take your head off!!!
 Loved this huge balloon flag!
Timpview Marching Band - Eli's school and band!

 Looking and soundiing very good!
Our group at the parade.  Heather went down early to save a spot, and I joined her before anyone else came.  We had several chairs set up but I was cutting out tee shirt squares and needed to sit on the blanket to do that.  A kind young man brought up his chair and asked if I wanted to sit in it...no thanks but that was very kind of him!!
 Provo Utah Missionaries loved them!
The parade had a military theme - notice the girls race shirts - Army green!!  There was Military equipment from WWII and up.  Liked this Jeep because my Dad used those in his military service.
Also this truck and soldiers following it were from WWII - made me cry!
Handcart Pioneers and celebrating the May 10, 1869 completion of the Railroad in Utah.

In honor of my grandfather Smith - who worked at Deseret Mortuary - we had to take a picture of this undertaker and his wagon.

Lunch for everyone at our house after the parade!  We had a bubble machine and a wading pond for the little ones - it was hot!  But it is summer so we don't really mind!!
