Springville Folkfest

On Friday, July 30, Lindsey brought her children to Polly and Chris's for a swim party - also they celebrated Harry Potter's birthday with cupcakes that showed what 'house' you were in at Hogwarts!  so fun!  Afterward Olivia and Sadie came to Springville to meet us at the 35th  annual International Folkfest.  We enjoyed having performers in the past stay at our house.  The dancing and music and costumes are great ... the relationships better!  It is awesome to really get to know people from other countries.  This year they had no international dancers with the Covid, but used talent from around the state that were authentic and good!  Here Sadie and Olivia are highlighting the German Menu for us!  actually for their Dad who served in Germany!
Girls in front of the German Food Truck - we had Mexican!

Cute Olivia and Sadie in German costumes! and shrunk about a foot!!
The Mexican Aztecs dance - really beautiful costumes and great dancing.  Pan pipes make wonderful music.
The beginning with all the evenings dance groups - one represented Ireland, Native American's, Clogging - USA, Spanish flamenco dancers, Bolivia and Chile - everyone was very good and we loved being there after so many years!  Sadie said she thinks her family should make it a tradition to come every year!  The girls spent the night and then went swimming with friends from their old neighborhood most of Saturday!  We met Lindsey at Point of the Mountain - Maverick station to get them back home.
