Friday, August 13, we drove up to Rockport State Park for the 2021 edition of the wonderful Dam Jam. We stayed in the Best Western Motel in Coalville - along with Lindsey and the Fairbanks grandchildren. Here are Reid and Tait at the window of the Old White Church. Tait was walking across the road from the parking area and looked up at the Church and said: "What a beautiful house!"
A really good fiddle player and her friend who sang came into the church and the kids all sat on the benches to enjoy the show. Cotton Eyed Joe is one of the songs they played and sang -- so much fun!
After the music the grandchildren did their own show - dancing! They needed music so they got one of their parents phones and played fast dance music.
We love the Old White Church. Stan and Julie were married here in 2010, her Grandma and Grandpa had their funerals here - we will do all we can to help preserve the Church.
