More of the beautiful sewing of Linda - she has taught quilting in most of the western states!
This wall hanging she made for the director of her husbands agency - he was a national park ranger, firefighter and they had their national convention in southern Utah. She made this for him and he has added to it over the years...really wonderful people.
This is a small wall hanging she made for her Mother's 80th Birthday! so talented!
Different quilters sent in a square - Linda put them all together in this amazing quilt.
Our wonderful friends, Ron and Linda Larsen. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary while they served in Jamaica. It was the country's 50th year of independence also!!
This is Ron and Harold outside the Old Rock Church. The top floor was full of Pioneer antiques - very interesting. The quilt show was downstairs, through the white door at the side of the church.
Their license plate - Quilters preserve memories, one stitch at a time!
This joshua tree is on their property - over 20 years old! Ron met us at the quilt show, Linda wasn't feeling well and she was home. Wewent over to see her.Such good friends! It was delightful to chat for over an hour! They were scheduled to serve their fourth mission in Botswana, Africa. The Church missionary department changed their assignment to Houston, Texas. After serving about 6 months, Linda had a mild heart attack. She was treated so well in the hospital that they stayed and finished their mission; Later they looked up Botswana and there wasn't the same treatment available in the whole country!
We enjoyed getting this picture of all four of us! Notice the wood carvings on the mantle piece. Ron gave all the senior couples in Jamaica a coconut shell with nativity scene. There is a Resurrection scene in the middle of the mantel - he gave Harold one of those and gave me and Polly one of the tiny nativity scenes at the left of the Risen Savior. He refuses to sell them, just gives them away. It was a wonderful trip and we enjoyed the drive, the quilt show, chatting with the Larsen's - Happy Pioneer Day!!!
