Rockin' R Ranch - Tuesday

On Tuesday morning after breakfast we had family pictures.  The one above was taken in 2004 - at Eli's blessing.  Joel was born Dec. 15, 2003, then Sophia and Grace, May 7 2004, Eli, May 24th - and Christian October 1, 2004 - Five wonderful grandchildren in 10 months!
Now these wonderful grandchildren are 16 years old - Christian will be in October 2020! We are truly blessed with amazing and delightful grandchildren.
Aunt Kate gave Thia this stuffed unicorn - her parents brought the water spraying one for all to enjoy.  They purchased it for her third birthday last year - but it was too cold in Bozeman to have the water party they had planned - - we all loved having it at the Ranch.... Thanks Uncle Stan and Aunt Julie!
This is our families part of the dining area - food was delicious and on time!
The other side of the dining area - every one had a good time at meals!
We have seven family birthdays in July - Thia, the 3rd,  Ruby the 6th, Baden the 7th, Sydney the 14th, Keenyn the 16th, Ben Mortensen the 20th, Stefan the 30th and since I'll be 75 on August 4th - I added myself to the birthday bunch!  Stefan had driven to Richfield to play tennis with Shelby - so he's not in the picture.  We thought that Polly and Chris Williams could only come down on Tuesday - so we planned the birthday party for after lunch that day.  It ended up that they couldn't come at all - and we really missed them.  Cute story about the hats.  Ben M. said he and Kate were in Dillon, MT just after one of Shelby's birthdays... three or four years old.  Shelby was talking to one of the little boys that Heidi did day care for and telling him about her birthday party.  She said: It was a lot of fun but we didn't have any birthday hats!  He answered: What NO HATS?  So we had to have hats for our birthday party.
Stan and Julie brought two fun pinatas - this big dinosaur one and a smaller unicorn one.  All the kids had a great time with the foam bat trying to smash them.  The two girls with their hair in braids in the middle of the picture are the daughters of the manager - Brandon Hanks.  He went to high school with Stan - and Stan and Julie spent a couple nights of their honeymoon at the Ranch.  Nyles and Neah were their names and they got along great with some of our granddaughters their same ages.
Sweet Millie swinging a mean bat!  Julie told Emilee later that she was impressed with Talus - he was next to swing the bat - but noticed that one of the girls hadn't had a turn - so he gave them his turn - and they broke the pinata - so he didn't get a turn - and didn't seem to mind.  Julie was impressed and Emilee was happy to hear about it!
We were going to have Birthday Cake for dessert for dinner - so we had birthday pies for our little celebration.  They make them at a small store in Antimony and they were delicious!  Triple berry, coconut cream and chocolate cream - yummy!! The Ranch kitchen supplied us with small paper plates and plastic forks - they have been so nice.
