Visiting Sam and Allie

On September 11, we flew to Anchorage - see the glaciers in the mountains?
Sam picked us up and we drove to his office - nice caribou rack decorating the walls!
Sam's stand up desk - we were impressed how neat and clean everything was.
Other wall of fame! - deer that Sam had shot and mounted...the mounts in the shape of the area he hunted the deer in.
Next we drove to Flat Top Mountain - to the visitor park.  It was a beautiful day and Sam said since it isn't raining lets go up Flat Top - he was right - the next day it was raining!
Nice view of Anchorage from Flat Top - cute view of two of the men that I love!
Sam took us to Porter (?) Marsh - we saw bald eagles and fish!  Sam was wondering if the salmon run was over - but upon seeing these fish in the marsh he thought we would do okay fishing the next day at Montana Creek.
The bridge we were on was over the inlet from the ocean.  We had planned on a deep sea fishing trip but the waves were up to 13 feet and the captain of the boat said it was too dangerous to go out.  Sam and Allie will use that trip in the future.
