Kacey brought Shelby's tee shirts with her - so this is the result!
While I quilted Scooter was wacthing from the arm of the couch - funny Cat!
Saturday we watched some of Isaac's football game - 7th grade on the field at Timpview High School. Ike is number 88 and you can see Kroeber across the back of his jersey!
Next was Keenyn's flag football across town - and he was the star of his team! Two touchdowns, two interceptions, many good plays on defense!!
Birthday party at Kroeber's for Sadie -8, Kcey -21 and Kyle - 25! Kyle said the best thing about turning 25 is you can now rent a car!!
Harold and Bean - the little boy puppy Polly and Chris have.
Briella with Petra, the little girl puppy - the Kroeber's had their Christmas pj's on because they had pictures taken just before the family party!
Both puppies outside in the back yard - they were so much fun.

Bozeman Visit
The drive to Bozeman is so pretty - and the wonderful people aat the end of the drive - awesome! Stan took us all out to breakfast on Saturday before the MSU football game - yummy food and delightful company!
We brought Thia some of Aunt Sue's 'snow balls'she played snow ball fight for a few minutes and then made a 'snow man'!!
Then Lund the puppy decided to come and knock the snow man over!!
Wonderful to spend time with these beautiful girls - plus pretty puppy!
It rained all morning but the weatherman said it would stop by eleven o'clock and it did!! Things were still a little wet, as you can see! The band always marches into the stadium and it is fun to watch them.
We were the first ones in our section - thanks Stan and Julie for buying us great seats - right next to yours!!
The MSU stadium is very nice - pretty setting - and nice peole around us.
So happy to spend time with this dear grand daughter! The sun did come out several times and we took our coats off - then it would go behind a cloud and the temp would drop and we would put our coats back on!
The band made M _ S _ U on the field and played well.
Bringing the team out of the tunnel - smoke and loud music!
Stan got Thia these balloons as we were walking back to the cars, MSU won big and it was a fun game.

Ennis, Montana
We drove to Idaho Falls after the football game and stayed at the Motel 6 there. It was raining when we got on the road to Bozeman - and it rained all the way there! We had plenty of time so we stopped in Ennis, Montana to walk around and get lunch. This is the biggest sporting goods and gun store in the small town. There was this stuffed wolf and I wanted a picture of it ... it was actually very exciting to go into a real western sporting goods store and see so many people buying guns!
More of the wolf. Stan told us when we got to Bozeman that a grizzley bear had mauled a couple of groupls of hunters last week. The first men were air lifted out to a larger hospital - they used bear spray to get the bear to run away. Then another two men were attacked and used their guns and were not as badly hurt. Stan said there was a picture in the paper of those two men in their hospital gowns in this same store buying new pants, shirts, etc.!!!This old truck was near the restaurant we had lunch in - I like old things - maybe because I'm old!
The newest truck of the distillery!!
Football in Hyrum
On Thursday, eptember 19th, we drove to Hyrum and watched Joel play in the JV football game against Green Canyon It was a beautiful day and the field is so nice - turf.
Such a nice view of the mountains and the field - Joel did well - and the team won!
Joel is number 28 and played mostly offense, I think! It was such fun to be with Kate, Ben and Anna.
Cheering section! Dad was a little cold, can you tell?

Happy Birthday Harold
On Sunday, September 15th, we celebrated Harold's 77th birthday at Polly and Chris Williams house. She made him two apple pies! It was fun to be with the Fairbanks and Kroeber's families - didn't take any pictures of the kids playing in the awesome back yard - built with so much hard work!
On Tuesday, Sept. 17th - we had an openhouse at our house for the Russian missionaries that are in the area - some came from Salt Lake - here is Kacey, Ethan Angerbauer, Connor Spillett, Josh Youngs and Zacery Creer.
Branden Rivers, Rachel Johnson, Austin Mathson and Daniel Saunders - all wonderful missionaries that we love and loved serving with in Russia.
Aspen and Elliot Sine with Josh Youngs - Josh plays in the BYU band - Elliot used to translate for us when we visited Left Bank branch... he was one of the first married.
Sister Maria Solokova - now Mrs. Creer - Masha and Zac.
Janice and Wayne and Lori came also - she laughed that they had 'crashed' the party - but they are welcome any time to visit us!!
Coming late was Sister Patricia MacCabe - and her friend - they had been skidiving! She is from the ward in Virginia that Pikes used to live in - good missionary!!

Derrell and LaNore's Cabin
On Saturday we drove up to Crooked Lake and helped build a storage shed at Derrell and LaNore's cabin. See the big gray metal box on the dock? We brought that to the lake for Derrell - Sam's donation!
They have worked hard on remodeling the cabin - here Sterling is coming down to the dock to help bring food up.
The white building is the new outhouse Sam built one weekend a few years ago...the old on is still there also.
Derrell, Harold and Sam moving the metal panels that will be the sides of the shed. Nick, Natalie's husband was there cutting brush and trees down - we all helped drag the limbs and branches to a big pile.
Derrell bought LaNore this jet ski for her 70th birthday! She wanted me to drive it but I would rather hold on to her! The water was so calm and smooth - and LaNore is a good driver!
Out on the lake - it is well named - Crooked!
Coming back to the dock - LaNore liked to drive down an arm of the lake and then cross the wake we had made on the way back out.
Late summer fun!
Loon on the lake - so pretty. We watched it dive for fish - coming up about 50 yards from where it went down!
We would throw a tennis ball into the lake and Lucy would dive in to get it ...over and over and over!
Derrell, LaNore, Harold and Dianne, Sam and Allie - awesome day. Yummy food, thanks to LaNore, nice to help a little with the shed building and fun to be with family at anytime!
This picture of the city was at the airport and I liked it so I took a picture of a picture!!

More Alaska Adventures
It was fun to sightsee in downtown Anchorage - it was the end of the summer tourist season and there were some good deals! Sure hope this is the only Grizzley bear any of us ever see this close!
At the Anchorage Museum they had this language map of one of the most prominent Native languages - we found it very interesting that the same language group was found in the southwest!
Harold getting his fishing license on the way to Montana Creek.
Lucy liked to 'hug' Harold in the truck - me not so much!
Beautiful Montana Creek - we hiked about a mile to get there - only three others fishing - Dad and Sam caught some 'dog' salmon - not good eating - just to feed the dogs! I enjoyed sitting on a camp chair and reading!!
Denali in the background - we saw all of it but couldn't stop on the highway for a picture, by the time a turn out came up the clouds had moved in - still impressive!
On the way back to Anchorage we saw this momma moose off on a side road!
