December 5th we drove to Gilbert, AZ to visit Tom and Jean. Janice and Wayne flew down so all three siblings could spend some time together. Jean had an Art League function Thursday night so Tom took us all out for delicious Mexican food!
Friday morning Tom also took us to breakfst at the Village Inn - god food and delightful company! Jean was working in the temple until noon. We all had a good visit when she got home. We are blessed with awesome extended family!
Friday afternoon we drove to St. George and visited with Fred and Laurel Leavitt - dear friends from our 6 years in Southern California. They came to our little rental house to welcoome us - 5 times before we were home - that's dedication!
Their lovely home - Fred's cancer has come back and he is undergoing chemotherapy again - like he says: "I've had a good life!" We hope he can beat it again!
After St. George we headed to Panaca, NV to visit with Steve and Maggie Ann Heiselbetz's - the office couple when we got to Novosibirsk, Russia...wonderful display of Russian Christmas dolls! It was wonderful to see them and meet one of their daughters and family. They will be coming to Utah Valley the first of January and we hope to have a Russian Reunion for them!
Last of our wonderful visits - the McLeod's that live in Cedar City. They were both Jamaican missionaries - well Khevar is Jamaican! They have two darling little ones and it was delightful to have lunch with them. I know the picture is blurry - I didn't take it!!!
