Kacey and Shelby

December 30 we picked up these two beautiful young ladies at the Salt Lake Airport!  The flew from Wenatchee - Seattle - Salt Lake, will actually Hawaii!  It is so much fun to have them around!
We were invited to dinner at the Fairbanks in Bountiful - their plane landed at 4:45 pm and we didn't want to fight rush hour traffic back to Provo.
They brought these cute Hawaiian outfits for the boys - bracelets and head band leiis for the girls.
Shirts and shorts - they are ready to visit the beaches!! The girls head pieces are in some luggage that was at the bottom of the pile in the trunk so I'll have to get pictures of them when they get them.  Thanks Lindsey and Dan for dinner and delight!!

Friday Pizza Party

Friday Dec. 27th was the last night for the Pike family to be in town ... we had a great pizza party at the Kroeber's.  Polly and Chris made these darling 'bowl cozies' for all of us.  Reid is wearing one on his head!
They are for you to put your bowl in, then use them in the microwave and your fingers don't get burned getting your hot bowl out!  or your normal hot pad get dipped into the food!  Polly found darling fabric for each of us - even Patriots!  Thanks Williams - Christmas just keeps on giving!!!

Christmas Day!

We woke up Christmas Day to a very 'white' Christmas!  The last real snow storm was the last weekend of November - stopped us from getting to CO - so this was very needed and welcome!
Our Christmas tree, complete with Scooter's favorite spot on the couch!!

Christmas afternoon we had an openhouse and Pikes, Williams, and Fairbanks were able to come.  Kroeber's went to Sandy and celebrated with Chris's family.  We had yummy food, and such fun people... here is the older grandkids table in the storage room!  They didn't mind at all.
The kids all went into the back room and made up 'charades' and then would come out in the front room and we would all try to guess what they were acting out...it was so funny!  Things like: marching over a cliff, food fightl, bar fight!
We were impressed with their creative talents and acting talents - so fun!
Polly and Chris - posing for my Christmas book page.  Sure love them and all that they do for everyone!
It was fun to have the Pike family spend Christmas night with us!  Pretty sure next year both Talus and Baden will be taller than I am!  Sure love spending time with them any time, anywhere!
The Fairbanks Christmas night - they go to the cabin every other year so we got them this year!! Sure love having them close enough to see often and help out once in a while!!

More Family Party fun

The famous - or infamous white elephant game did not disappoint this year!  Joel sporting this awesome MAGA hat!!
Heather in her 'Ralphie' pink bunny suit!! so funny!
Dan and Lindsey with their great tee shirts - the cat and a purple unicorn!!
The cousins had a blast with the wrapped ball game - each ended up with a grocery bag full of goodies and treasures!  Included were a 25.00 movie pass, whistles, pezz candies and containers, toy cars, finger nail polish, lip gloss, fun glasses,  flashing lights necklaces, and lots of candy!
Tait was blowing on his whistle and playing the paino!
Here is a great picture of 14 of our wonderful grandchidlren - love all to pieces!

Family Christmas Party Dec. 22nd, 2019

On December 22nd - the Kroeber's hosted the annual Family Christmas Party -- here Reid is happy to have Lindsey's phone!  He is only 9 months old and teck savy!!!
A look at the kitchen and some of the wonderful food and delighful people who were there ... wish more could have been.  Nice to have Kate, Joel and Anna and Emilee, Ben, Talus and Baden!
Caribou sausage from AK - Sam shot the caribou and I should have taken a picture sooner when there were three kinds!  Summer sausage, pepperoni and sticks - all from Sam's hunting talents!
Emilee and Reid enjoying the kitchen!
Five of our seven daughters - missing Heidi and Jennie - loved having everyone who could come. Will have all seven and three sons this summer we hope!
Sadie helping Reid on the fire truck - he does not lack for attention when his siblings are around.

Fairbanks Piano Recital

On Thursday, December 19th, we drove with Polly and Chris to Bountiful and watched the Fairbanks older girls in their Christmas Piano Recital...here they are waiting for it to start.
When Millie saw her sisters in their fancy dresses - she asked if she could wear one also - don't they all look darling?
Georgia played "Away in a Manger" - very well!
Olivia played very well - one of the best of all the students - I may be a little biased! I can't remember what she played - but she did it well!
Sadie also did great - I think she played Oh Come All Ye Faithful - but I'm not sure.
The treats were these little chocolate cakes and these girls got them all over their faces!  Good thing I had a package of wet wipes in my purse - silly girls!
Here's Lindsey and Reid - he is getting much more mobile!
Tait is never very far from Aunt Polly - and her phone!  She actually has a phone just for him that is not connected but he loves it and her!
Millie was so funny - after the program when people were talking and eating she took off her fancy dress and gave it to Polly .. she was finished with it!  Darling girl!!
The three oldest at the Baby Grand Piano - they were fascinated about the hammers and the strings that you could see as they pushed down the keys.
Sweet Tait climbed up and plunked out a tune!
Reid was happy scooting under a chair!!  Really nice evening - so happy we could be there.

Tending Fairbanks grandchildren

On Monday, December 16th, Lindsey had faculty meetings in Sandy - we met her in a parking lot and exchanged cars - hers full of cute kids!  We drove to Bountiful and had a nice day with the grandchildren.  Here Reid is holding his own bottle and Georgia said to take a picture of it!  okay!!
Georgia is singing:  All I Want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth!!  she lost both of them last week!  what a cute smile!!
Tait was 'reading' to Reid - reminded me of a picture we have where Stan is doing the same to baby Kurt.

Cutest picture!  I took a picture of it!!

Eli's band concert

On Thursday, December 12, we went to Timpview High School to watch Eli's band concert.  The stage was so pretty with Christmas lights and trees.  Chris, Heather, Isaac, Keenyn and Briella came and it was fun to sit with them and talk...and feed Briella and Keenyn TicTacs!
The concert was combined with Jazz Band, Concert Band, Symphonic Band and Wind Symphony.  Eli is in Symphonic Band - this is his band setting up for their performance - Eli played his basson and has a Santa hat on!  Kind of to the rigth of the middle of the picture.
Eli playing - my camera doesn't do close up very well - it sounded so good!  We were really impressed with all the bands - sounded great!
Here is Eli as they were leaving the stage - he is the Santa hat in front and carrying his instrument.  Wonderful way to spend a winter evening - great music and nice company!!

Sister Wilkinson's Wedding

A few hours after we got back from our AZ-NV trip - we headed to Draper for the wedding reception of a wonderful Jamaican Missionary - Shanae Wilkinson.  Isn't she pretty?  she served with us in Junction and was an awesome sister!  It was fun to give her a big hug!
I wanted a full length picture to show her pretty dress!
What a fun surprise!  Sister Susan Everette from North Carolina was one of the bridesmaids - and another great missionary in Junction!  She is getting married February 1st!  Love these girls!
Another good surprise - the Anderson's were there!  They were the PEF couple in Jamaica when we got there - it was delightful to talk about our common experiences.  Missions are the BEST!
