Trip to Milburn

On Friday, November 27, Sam and Allie and Dad and I drove to Milburn to see the old family store - or what is left of it! On the way there Sam noticed these wild turkeys - about 30 or so!  Hard to see in the picture but they are out near the trees.
The old family store, dance hall in the upper floor.  It is slowly being destroyed by weather, but still pretty impressive and fun to visit.
Sam and Allie were adventurous and climbed into the inside of the store - we didn't notice the no trespassing sign until we were leaving!
What a nice afternoon we spent, driving down and exploring and then back home.

We ended a great day with an amazing meal at the Brazilian Grill at Riverwoods.  Sam and Allie said they didn't have that restaurant in Anchorage and Dad and I have never been there - pretty fun!
Delicious food, Sam paid the check, and we all had a good time!!!  Thanks again Sam and Allie for the nice visit!  and for bringing all the frozen fish to share!!

Time to Give Thanks!

Lindsey and Dan Fairbanks are in the middle of remodeling their kitchen/living room - they still invited our family to Thanksgiving Dinner.  Sam and Allie are visiting from Alaska and we all had a great time.
Mortensen's came down from Hyrum, Sadie played the piano for all of us.  They really like the smaller piano in their living room ... I love that all the girls are learning to play.
Dan cooked the turkey, smoked the pork belly, made the mashed potatoes, gravy and stuffing!  He is amazing and it all tasted so good!
Shelby had several little Fairbanks all over her all afternoon!  Kacey and Mary, their roommate came up also.  Wonderful family time and fun!

Happy Birthday Heather and Isaac!

Wednesday November 25th was Heather and Isaac's birthdays!  We had a fun lunch at our house.  Heather is 40 and Isaac 14.  We had a small carrot cake for Isaac and a birthday pumpkin pie for Heather - it had whipped cream and sprinkles on it!
Sam and Allie are visiting from Anchorage - so nice to spend some time with them.

Puppies growing!

On Saturday we drove to Polly's to see the new puppies.  They have grown so much in two weeks.
Cute puppy!

Even new baby animals bring a piece of heaven with them!

Work keeping us busy!

These fabric bowl cozy's are so much fun to make and give away! I have been busy doing that for about a month now - super practical and pretty!

Some of the other fabrics I am going to use this week!

The garden spot is so much nicer now after a year of Harold working on it!  Used to be a trash heap!
Working up the weeds - going to be lawn next year - we hope!

Puppies!

Petra is a Mother!  She had 8 puppies, two died the first night and one had since passed away .
She is a good momma and the puppies are darling.
There are five now and they are doing amazing!  Such fun and hard work!  Glad they are at Polly and Chris's house!

Timpview Marching Band & Provo misc.

I made these two baby quilts on Saturday - our ward has many chances to give to new babies!
Dad went fishing up first Diamond Fork - no luck.  Then he went to Hobble Creek and caught us a fish for dinner!  Not very big but very tasty!!
Timpview's Marching Band - last performance of the year - they did very well.
It was fun to be at the football field and listen to the great music! Weather was just a little cool, great for the first week of November!

Polly's Birthday and local wildfire!

When we walked outside after Polly's Birthday dinner - we noticed this fire on side of the mountains to the south of us - it grew overnight but is out now.
Polly blowing out her candle on her cupcake!  I made the Apple Cider Cake that Emilee did - hers was much prettier - but it sure tastes delicious!

Brad and DeAnn's granddaughter's wedding

Ashlynn at the Wedding Dance - darling girl - Cody and Laura's oldest.
Ashlynn and Jace dancing!  Both of Cody and Laura's children.
More dancing.
Danielle and Brimley dancing also - she is their only child - 3 years old.
Candy bar - delicious crepe bar on the other side of the cake - with yummy toppings!
Courtney and Zayah cutting the cake!
The White Shanty in Southwest Provo - great venue - not a lot of social distancing and some had masks - fun and loud dance!

DeAnn, Brad, Becky, me, Cody and Laura - family is fun!
Harold, me, Becky and our youngest brother Brad.
Erin, Brandon, Courtney and Zayah - When Brandon saw Erin studying in the BYU Library - he was smitten and went over to sit by her and get her phone number.  Courtney and Zayah met at In and Out Hamburger - they both happened to be there and he went right over to check this beautiful young lady out!

Halloween at the old Kroeber House

Heather and Chris participated in their ward Pumpkin Walk - each house decorated their lawn and then the ward walked around - I guess.  All their pumpkins were related to the house remodel - very cute!
This pumpkin has a file and big nails in it!
Safety Hat and Goggles for this pumpkin!

Of course, we need a smashed with a brick pumpkin!
Covid conscious pumpkin!
Not sure what this one represents but it is cute and decorated with fun things - the hammer is the clue to the remodel project!  Happy Halloween everyone - late!
