Floor, Fall leaves and Football!

Joel and Anna after his last JV football game - he played really well and it was fun to watch!
Kate, Ben and Joel - it is fun to drive up and spend some time with these good people!
Autumn leaves in the canyon were so pretty!

We stopped at Fairbanks to deliver somethings and this is what was on the front porch - a sink and piano!  They are redoing their floor!
Isn't it pretty?  and useful.  Chris and Polly and Dan's sister Michelle are willing helpers and it has taken two weekends but now is finished and wonderful!
I liked that the kids had some books on the orange sub floor stuff!  We are proud of them for doing all the work and learning so much! plus saving money.

Kroeber's house project

This picture is of the ceiling insulation from the Kroeber's garage.  They are major remodeling their house and the garage has to be torn down.  It was about 3 feet deep and fluffy!
We have been able to do some unskilled labor helping them - this was pretty fun!  We filled bags in the red can and then put them into a huge yellow dumpster!  Took a couple of days but we were happy to Just Serve!!  Harold would get the big pieces of ceiling wall board and take them across the yard to the dumpster - I just filled bags.
There is the big dumpster, the back hoe that Chris rented - and the old garage!
Keenyn and Briella in the back hoe!! The kids are doing lots of the unskilled labor also - Chris and Pa are doing the skilled stuff!

Around Town

Scooter got into a fight - stayed out all night and has a hole in his ear and a cut across his nose to show for it!  Nice to have Jordan as our 'Ask a Vet' - plus good care from Kacey and Shelby!
Beautiful Kacey and cute Halloween wreath on their front door. She is enjoying school and learning a lot.
Harold has been to several drs. the last little while - having surgery on his sinus's next week.  I thought this picture in the lobby of an ENT doc was so cute!

Mission Reunion

After viewing the work being for the Salt Lake Temple, we went to our Novosibirsk Russia Mission reunion.  Here are Steve and Margie Heiselbetz - they were the office couple we took over from when they had to leave early.  Wonderful friends!
President and Sister Lamb brought the quilt I made with all the city logo's of the cities we had volunteers in all of Eastern Siberia.  Everyone enjoyed seeing it!
Some of the wonderful missionaries we served with.
Masha is a native Russian, she married another returned missionary from the mission and will have their little boy in 3 weeks!
Wonderful young people,  Sister Rachel Johnson served with us in Irkutsk, we met her in the MTC even before getting to Russia.  Elder Brady Spencer, I took care of him one night when his companions had an appointment and he was too ill to go.  He also called Elder Smith one night and told him he was standing on the toilet and it broke!!  Elder Daniel Saunders was an AP - very good one!  Elder Conner Spillet worked on left bank of Novosibirsk, and served with us in the Provo City Center Temple.  Elder Austin Mathson is from Evanstoon, Wyo and is related to the Rex family that I am also!  Elder Elliot Sine and wife Aspen, he would translate for us when we visited left bank - good man.
The whole reunion - hopefully Pres. and Sister Lamb will post pictures we took of everyone!

Salt Lake Temple

We read in the newspaper that the pioneer foundation of the Salt Lake Temple was within view from the spectator station - so we went to see it after leaving Bountaiful.
Harold took pictures - not sure what this pile of rocks represents!

Not sure you can see in the picture, but the blocks have numbers etched in them from Pioneer Days.  They were laid in 1853 - amazing!  Nice to see the holes that will reinforce the foundation and make it earthquake proof!

Fairbanks Friday

On Friday, Oct. 2nd - we were so happy to drive to Bountiful and tend the Faribanks grandchildren, so Lindsey could take Sadie and friends to the Ice Skating Rink for her friends birthday party.  We actually brought three kids from their old neighborhood in Provo - two to attend the party and one to stay with Oliva for fun. These cute boys are so active and adorable!
We were able to get some pumpkin cookies and frosting with sprinkles for the kids to enjoy.

Reid has a unique way of eating the frosting off his cookie!!

After the skating party - the kids went out in the back yard and enjoyed a water - trampoline party!

Tait didn't want a nap - and instead fell asleep at the tablet watching a show!
