Kroeber House and Grave sites

Chris and Heather are going to totally remodel their house this summer - they began by cutting down the big pine tree in front - looks different, huh?
Granny's oak tree - she grew from an acorn she picked up from the BYU campus - the neighbor had the limbs coming over the fence cut down - said she was tired of picking up acorns!
Pine tree at the went of the yard - Granny also planted this one.
Scooter's new friend - the white and orange cat in the top of the picture - just hanging out under the bush.
Gramps and Granny gave site this morning - we put the flowers and flags and where happy to do it.
Another picture with Polly's stone in the flower bed - Bad habits are like weeds ...

Grandpa Sam and Grandma Phyllis's grave site in Pleasant Grove.  We are blessed with great heritage.

Kate's Birthday

It was delightful to drive to Hyrum and have a Mother's Day and Kate's Birthday picnic!  Great food and even greater company!!
We have shared Mother's Day and Kate's Birthday before - May 10th - wonderful flowers Kate had planted and gave me two planters for our front porch.
This was the first time I have a picture of - May 10, 1987 - Kate was 10 years old - I'm older!!
In California - cute little Annabelle in the background!
In Pocatello one of the years we lived just up the street from Kate and Ben.
Latest picture - it's fun to share the day.  We had a great time and hope to do it again.
Stopped in Bountiful and enjoyed the Fairbanks family for a little bit - Tait wanted to take this picture!  I look better a little blurry!!
Cute dish towels Kacey and Shelby picked out for my Mother's Day gift!

Flowers

The Fairbanks brought this beautiful hydrangea when they came down last Saturday - Dad put it in this nice pot he bought for me, and we'll hope to bring it inside in the fall to see if it can survive Utah's winter!
We have gotten our front flower bed pretty much planted now - love flowers in the yard!
This is the Mother's Day card that Sam and Allie sent last year - now it is part of my decorations each May.
Polly and Chris sent this beautiful bouquet of flowers - looks good, smells wonderful and will dress up our kitchen table for a while!   Crystal vase from Jennie and Jason many years ago - thanks all!

Dad brought me this pretty mini-rose bush - we have planted them in about three states I think!  we'll plant this one in our front flower bed after Sunday.
Heather and Eli just brought over a beautiful orchid - love the color!  Eli was practicing his driving. Thanks again everyone!  also have some cards to open tomorrow - feel loved!

Shelby's New Car

This is the pretty purple car that Shelby bought this week!  All four of us went for the test drive and Grandpa was thorough in the inspection!  Found no spare tire in the trunk, the passenger side window got stuck sometimes, and it needed an oil change!  The dealer was kind and Grandpa offered $400.00 lest and he took it!  He had Shelby buy the part for the window and his shop installed it for free.  He gave her a good spare tire and we'll have to do the oil change!
Shelby was on her way somewhere - and I wanted a picture!
Next day I got a better picture - beautiful girl and pretty car!!

Stay at Home events!

Look at our row of peas - we planted a month ago - yea for fresh garden vegetables.
Our lilac bush - doesn't look that good but smells wonderful!
These are the old, board that blew off the top of the lean to - behind our shed.  One landed in the neighbors yard and the other one next to our car!
The neighbor came over and cut off the pine branches that were hanging over the fence in our yard.  We weren't home at the time and I'm sorry they are gone - they provided privacy and it turns out - a wind break for our shed!
Front of new lean to...built by the neighbor and his son in 30 minutes!  He offered us the used boards that he didn't need any more - and then came over and built it!
To inside of the lean to - he even had other used boards for the ground!!  Wonderful to have good neighbors.
The one board on our side of the fence was resting against these two carport poles - so happy it didn't damage our car!
